Neil Armstrong got paid $43 for walking on the moon in 1969. That's about $286 in 2017. That amount would barely pay for a family of four to take the very basic visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center today, not including vacation and hotel expenses.
Admission to that center was FREE in 1969.
Wrap your head around that irony.
